GREEN BRIQUETTES “ MACAMANENE” BY VERDE AFRICA, LDA.
WHAT IS “MAKAMANENE”?
It is an alternative energy to wood charcoal made from locally collected biomass waste. Macamanene is a new cooking fuel, friendly to your wallet and the natural environment.
Verde Africa’s briquettes are solely made of natural ingredients; charcoal dust and cassava flour. They are 100% free of chemicals and artificial additives.
MADE IN MOZAMBIQUE
Our factory is located in Maputo, the capital city of Mozambique. Our products are made by a team of Mozambican professionals using materials collected in Mozambique.
MACAMANENE is produced without cutting any trees, by using recycled raw materials collected in Maputo. We buy charcoal waste that is usually discarded.
Annually 219,000 hectares of indigenous forest is lost in Mozambique. You can protect 30 kgs of Mozambican forest with 5 kg MACAMANENE.
The heat of MACAMANENE lasts longer than regular charcoal. It is a great fit for cooking traditional Mozambican dishes such as feijoada (stewed beans) and caril de amendomin (meat or fish cooked with peanut/coconut soup). Long burning MACAMANENE makes your food delicious and saves fuel.
